A short bus ride out of KL took us to Batu caves. At the base of the 272 stairs that lead into the limestone caves is a striking 42.5 metre statue of a Hindu diety. Once up the top and inside the caves there are a series of temples and the odd few monkeys ready and waiting to snatch the food that is put out for offerings.
